EIGHTH GRADE NOTES On September 2, forty-five boys and girls entered the eighth grade. Since then We have welcomed two girls, and two boys have withdrawn. Our class is under the guidance of Mr. Wheeler. In October we elected the following officers: President Louis Smith Vice-President Ralph Phillips Secretary Robert Lybarger Treasurer Chris Tracy Our class is well represented in 4-H, Boy Scouts, and intramural sports. SEVENTH GRADE NOTES There are forty-four pupils in the seventh grade this year, twenty-five girls and nineteen boys. They are under the supervision of Mr. Snow. The Lincoln spelling society defeated the Spartans this year. The Audubon Club has twenty-six members who have erected bird boxes. The members feed the birds regularly. We have four hundred books in our library. Elsie May Mickley is the drum major and Jean Barnes, Joyce Landis, and Phyllis McMillan are majorettes of the high school band. Evelyn Morris, Maxine Yearous, Shirley Mullet, Lillian Zimmerman, Bill Shumaker, Fred Bartok, Jean Barnes, Donald Emmert, Joseph Proper, and Janice Staats have perfect attendance records.
