JUNIOR NOTES Of the thirty-four members who made up the Sophomore Class last year, only twenty-six now remain to make up the Junior Class. The eight members who have changed schools are Joanne Snow, Martha Judge, Wynona Akins, Lloyd Wolford, Maxine Devore, Wanda Smith, Richard Shaw, and Pauline Robinson. The one new addition is Vernita Long, who came from Glenmont, Ohio. The ofiicers chosen to represent our class this year are: President . .. . Glenn Colopy Secretary Helen Nyhart Vice-President Walter Durbin Treasurer Martha Bittner Five of our members were on the football team last fall. They were Tommy Banbury, Glenn Colopy, Larry Colopy, Jim Elliot, and Walter Durbin. The only junior representing our class in basketball is Tommy Banbury. THE CLARION. '48 CLASS PROPHECY School days have passed but we still find Raymond Blubaugh and Jim Tracy in a pool room. They are co-owners of the Howard Pool Room. George Chapman has risen to fame. He is now the honorable Mayor of Greersville. Wayne Stumbaugh is the milkman of Lakeville. Earl Colopy runs a large dairy farm outside Fredericktown. Marilyn O'Donnel1 has reached her ambition. She is a hostess on TWA Airlines. LeRoy Workman is still playing basketball. He is now playing with the Professional New York Knickerbockers, along with Eppa Rixey and Newt Oliver. Sam McMillan is attending the Case College for Salesmen at Des Moines, Iowa. Vonetta Landis is now the star singer of the New York Opera House. Wayne Crider plays center for the Cleveland Browns Football Team. His coach is Bill Tanner, who hasn't lost a game as a professional coach. Sam Durbin has taken over the position of Professor of Science at Yale University. One of the most prosperous dealers in Danville is a John Deere dealer named Lawrence Payne. Betty Burke has just finished a film in Hollywood. She plays the lead- ing role in the film, Pm my own Grandma. Harry Dunn, famous author, has recently published his latest book, How to Influence Teachers and Win Grades. David Meehan is the head of the Union of Roof Painters Association of America. Word has recently been received that Dale Campbell, Motorcycle Ex- pert, will appear at Madison Square Garden, to put on a few daredevil acts. Lillian Kaylor is the sole owner and operator of the Alum Rock Farm near Greer. The new coach of the New York Skyscrapers Basketball Team is Dan Sheasby. Neil Staats is the Director of the Staats Sliphorn Slickers of Kenton, Ohio. Marie Butts is fashion designer for Esther Williams. Jesse Mickley has recently retired to Alcatraz after officiating the Danville-Fredericktown basketball game. Score Danville 36, Frederick- town 35. Marietta Rice has just designed a new sweater for girls called Hug Me Tight. Dr. Anthony Boeshart and his co-partner have just finished another successful operation. By the way, his partner is Undertaker Loren Banbury. who takes over when Dr. Anthony is finished. Harold Rhodes is now working hard to bring the Model A back in style. Since then we have had one new student, Bill McGinnis from Center- burg. The class enjoyed a hayride in the middle of September. The class also exchanged presents before the Christmas vacation. The members of the Honor Society are Bill Mickley, John Simmons, John Bross, Bob Durbin, and Ruth Arweller.
