FOR REFERENCE Do Not Take From This Room I THE CHRONICLE ! Danville Junior College Danville, Illinois Volumes DANVILLE JUNfOR COLLEGE i - . MBRARY PREFACE Yellow and brown — a golden sky lingers over a dark restless sea. From dreams to reality. We dream of things to come and the sky is sunshine gold. But dreams are only fantasies, and sometimes the dark waves of reality slow the progress of our dreams. We at Danville Junior College know that this is true. It has taken a long time to get our beautiful, expanding campus and many problems have slowed the progress, but now it has become true. As students, we also have dreams. Completing this year at DJC is one that has become a reality. The CHRONICLE hopes it has captured some of the highlights of this year. It is our desire that, as you look through the CHRONICLE, it will bring memories that are special to you. We hope it will help you remember this year as a golden dream that finally has become a reality. Sincerely, Editor-in-Chief FROM DREAMS TO REALITY The CHRONICLE, Volume 6 has also evolved from dreams to reality. We have been well aware of its growing pains and hope that very few apologies are needed. Following such examination, students are selected for enrollment in a therapy program, based upon the severity of their problem. Most therapy is individual, though some students may be enrolled in group therapy. A speech or hearing defect, even a minor one, is a major occu- pational as well as a social handicap. Max McDermott administers an examina- tion of the oral structure of Nancy Kelly to determine the adequacy of the mechanism for speech production. 98 CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER ■ I A Halloween visit to Mrs. Parke ' s ceramic class.
