I - - ' ' tI THE CHRONICLE DANVILLE JUNIOR COLLEGE Danville, Illinois Volume 3 Preface One of the first ideas we are taught upon entering Danville Junior College is that the decision is ours. As the end of the year approaches, we, the editors of The Chronicle, trust you have found what you have been looking for in this institution of higher learning. We hope you have accumulated a richer supply of know- ledge, gained from the help of friendly instructors, and attained a better understanding for humanity. This, Volume 3 of The Chronicle, indicates the road you have taken among the ivory covered columns of knowledge. The Editors imers Looking back three years, we find there was no Chronicle . Even more noteworthy, we find that Danville Junior College had a full-time staff of only four members aiding Dean Mary Miller. Miss Mary Ann Diller, Social Studies Chairman, is the senior full-time member of our teaching staff. Mrs. Alice Lee Morrison, Humanities Chairman, next joined this group that has done so much toward making D. J. C. what it is today and may be tomorrow. Later Mrs. Mary Ellen Schaff, Mathematics Chairman, and Mrs. Annabelle Ne el, Registrar and Secretary, joined this group that saw potential for higher education in Danville. Inadequately we give you a picture of the ever-young old timers. 66 Tomorrow s Leaders Today TaLle of Confemfs Administration Page 5 Undergraduates Page 23 Honors Page 45 Organizations Page 51 Activities Page 61 Sports Page 77 Advertisers Page 83 ADMINISTRATION •TULperintenJentt DaTiJ Radcliffe mpeFiiiiteii Jemfs anJ Secretaries Mr. Conan S.
