The Jazz Rock Ensemble offers the better band members a chance to express themselves in the areas of contempo- rary jazz and rock music. The J R Ensemble performs at school functions, and competes in state and regional competitions. Mr. Dave Dubinsky Advisor Tri-M is a National Music Honor Society made up of outstanding school musicians. At the present time the orchestra is preparing for an exchange concert with the Glaston- berry, Connecticut high school orches- tra. We are also working on the orchestra music for the George M musical. Most note- worthy are the eight seniors who have played with the high school orchestra for five years. The Concert Band offers instrumental- ists an opportunity to explore a variety of band literature from a great deal of dif- ferent periods and idioms.
