Debbie Giles, President; Pam Story, Secretary; Joe Fagg, Glenn Dodge, Dorothy Thompson, Susan Lang, Candy Watson, Cindy Coyne, Treasurer; Don Martin, Vice-President. Student Council The Student Council has been working very diligently this year on behalf of the student body. For the annual open house, all the members acted as guides for the visiting parents. The council next met with a group of clergy and people interested in building a youth center in our town. Since the idea made a favorable impression at this primary meeting, the school circulated a questionnaire showing that 97% of the students, not only supported the council on this issue, but also would actively aid in starting such a center. Mr. Crowell visited the council to discuss additions or omissions in the academic program. The council invited Mr. April to a special meeting to clarify his dance ruling. The recent Soap-f or-Vietnam project received an overwhelming response. The Student Council also conducts many projects to raise money for scholarships. Early in the year the book fair was held in the library for two days, followed by the opening of the bookstore in the cafeteria during lunch. The Variety Show is the biggest of all events the Council sponsors.
