Music Organizations The music groups of 1966 have had their usual busy and successful year. Marching from football games to a Band jamboree to the annual Spring Concert, the Danvers High Band has had a busy and successful year. Of course these accomplishments were under the able direction of our own Mr. Capra. The Mixed Glee Club, largest and most popular of the choral groups, performed this year in the Christmas and Spring Concerts, as did the Girls’ Choir. The Girls’ Choir, an enjoyable asset to every concert, combined with the Boys’ Choir this year to ])erform at an exchange concert with Conventry, Rhode Island. Our newest choral group, the Boys’ Choir, is fast gaining in popu- lai'ity throughout the school. Though only in its second year, its membership has doubled! The magnetism this group holds for the audience springs from the enthusiasm and spirit they bring to the stage. They participated in the three regular school concerts as well as the exchange concert with Conventry. A smaller and more select group, not as familiar to audiences, are the Madrigal Singers. They perform each year at the Orchestra Concert in May. Every school is proud to boast a one-of-a-kind group, and we are no exception. The Folk-Swingers, a newly-organized Folk-Rock Group, stepped into the limelight at the Variety Show in March, and have remained there ever since.
