Our second year protege has been very busy this year building homecoming floats, studying so hard, and participating in band and other junior high activi- ties. Their advisors, Mr. Erickson and Mr. Svoboda, gave them a lot of advice and encouragement during the year. SBPTCABGR President Wanda Dragt is seen point- ing out the 1962 homecoming date. Helping to plan the ninth grade ac- tivities, are Elaine Ruud,'Secretary- Treasurer, and Warren Damhof, Vice- President. This paper is entirely a student project. The articles are written by the students, typed and run-off by the typists and machine operators. Although there is much hard work involved with publishing a school paper, members of the staff will tell you that working on the paper is an enjoyable experience. SEATED: M. Roelofs, J. Zuidema. The use of more pictures is the most noticeable change. Among the more important added features are the caricatures used through- out the pages and the individual pictures of the Sophomore and Junior classes. These, along with many more little features, have given this year's edition of the Falcon much more value to the students of DHS. The 1963 Falcon was published by the American Yearbook Co. and the photography was done by Champa Studios of St. Cloud. The annual staff has spent many enjoyable hours preparing this edition of the Falcon , and they are all sure it is one of the best ever printed. SEATED: Veva Kemnitz, Barbara Seehusen.
