Each week they prepared a pep fest to stir up enthusiasm for the evening game. This year's cheerleaders shared a new experience in being able to cheer their team on to win the District 12 Championship and Region 3 runners-up titles. Being a cheerleader proved to be a profitable and enjoyable activity for these girls. 7 CHEERLEADERS Left to Right: Carol Moje, Patty Dykema, Lorraine Ruter, Patty Hotovec. SEATED: 8. Bruggers, D. During the half of the evening game, they pre- sented an impressive show for the football fans. The band took a trip to Minneapolis and participated in the annual Band Day at the University of Minnesota. They then began work on the Winter Concert which was presented on February 16. During the basketball season, the band played at each home game, adding to the spirit and enthusiasm of the crowds. They also added excitement to the tournament games, gladly donning their uniforms each time their team won another game. There was no letup for this organization, as it practiced right through to the last day of school. In the spring, the handworked diligently to prepare for the music con- test held in Olivia on April 23. The Memorial Day parade climaxed the band's big and busy year. ROW 1: K. Spencer, Dykema, S.
