June Rrchards Treasurer Francrs Grllrgan 4 I X ,-X Az Now hear thrs' Now hear thrsl Thrs rs the Class of 57 speakmg We wrsh to report that our hrgh school crurse has been a huge success and we look back on rt wrth pr1de rn our hearts On leavrng port for our frrst year we elected offrcers to lead the way Dave Sahrle was our presrdent Jane Carney vrce presrdent Mane McDowell secretary and B111 Davrs treasurer Under therr leadershrp we held several successful sweater dances Our major accomplrshment was a stopover for a barn dance on whrch we made a profrtable sum Our second year on board called for a new set of offrcers to tackle full speed ahead We elected Dave Sahrle presrdent, 11m VanDerwerken v1ce president Dorrs Smlth secretary and Jane Carney treasurer Thrs year we topped the trcket sellrng record on our sophomore movre benefrt The co charrmen for th1s event were Jerry Murphy and Marre McDowell Thrs year also, our sweater dances proved to be successful and we made a whale of a profrt on our coke machrne project under the supervrsron of Jrm VanDerwerken and Ronnre Walker A Journey rnto Ireland brought us our brg dance lrrshman s Holrday whrch was a most prosperous adventure We sarled mto our Junror year wrth Joel Kemp poundrng the gavel Lorna Watt rn the Veep seat Dons Smrth keeprng the drary, and Helen Blum handlrng the gold We thrrved fmancrally on our sweater dances and a crurse rnto France gave us the theme for our Jumor Prom, Apul rn Parrs, whrch was a huge socral success And last but certarnly not least we spotted our destrnatron graduatron To gurde us to our goal we elected Dave Sahrle presrdent Pat Young, vrce presrdent June Rrchards secretary and Fran Grllrgan treasurer We topped the magazrne sellrng record wrth an earned total of 557 054 41 Then rt was trme to elect a krng and queen to lead the annual stopover for the Halloween Parade For th1s honor we chose Elarne Norton and Jrm VanDerwerken The Danua was next on the agenda Besrdes the staff we had such ambrtrous people as Deanne Kennedy Alrce Ryan Grnny Whrtney Jean Carney Jane Carney Ken Grbson and Harold Kruchten helpmg us Our senror ball Wrnter Wonderland was as wonderful as the theme suggests wrth Ilm VanDerwerken rergnrng as krng and June Rrchards as queen The co charrmen were Dennrs Fleck and Elarne Norton At Eastertrme, came our long anucrpated Journey to Washrngton for our semor trrp We spent a marvelous and hrlarrous week On returmng to home port we began preparatrons for the long awarted award of recervrng our drplomas 12 .
