SENICDR CLASS HISTORY As we the class of 46 make our departure from Hsgh School we feel that the underclass men should be remsnded of our outstandsng accomplsshments Wsth Wallace Palmer as Pressdent Edward Baxter as Vsce pressdent Ruth Joan Rauth as Secretory and Norma Krog as Treasurer of our Nsnth year class we began our record Members of our class partscspoted sn varsous school actsvs tses and we organszed several group clubs One of our members Marsorse Stoner sncreased the prestsge of the class by besng the fsrst person sn a Nsnth year class ever to hold an offsce sn the Student Councsl We entered Sensor Hsgh School wsth hsgh hopes for a successful year We chose as offscers Ralph Fox Pressdent Barbara Smsth Vsce press dent Jean Hasby Secretary and Norma Krog Treasurer We contsnued to t ke part sn all school actsvstses and sponsored several successful sweater dances As we passed to the Eleventh year and be came Junsors we elected as offscers Joann Engle Pressdent Howard Werth Vsce pressdent Charles Howe Secretary and Donna Van Derwerken Treasurer The Junsor Red Cross Play Brother Goose was a great success So too were our many sweater dances We went Southern for our Junsor Prom wsth magnolsa trees and other approprsate dessgns to carry out the theme We are deeply sndebted to Msss Knapp a class ad vssor for her help sn maksng our prom a socsal and fsnancsal success Much credst ss due Msss Scrsver our class advssor for the second year, for her asd sn thss and other prosects Feelsng very proud of our record we began our Sensor year After electsng our class offscers Howard Werth Pressdent Donald Traxler Vsce pressdent Norma Kenney Secretary and Joann Engle Treasurer we smmedsately began our year s actsvstses by sellsng magazsne subscrsptsons Dursng the Chrsstmas vacatson we worked hard to transform the gymnassum snto a roof garden and held our Sensor Ball Here we agasn express our thanks to Msss Hunt wsthout whose helpful supervssson the Ball would not have been the tremendous success that st was Havnng been snformed that st would be sm posssble to go to Washsngton for our Sensor trsp we made plans to go to New York Csty Wsth thss as our goal we contsnued our actsvstses to fsnance the trsp Our next and last major prosect was the presentatson of the Sensor Play Tssh by Freytag and Msss Yarter the play was not only a great socsal success but we made a profst of S294 l8 Dursng the Easter vacatson fsfty sensors journeyed to New York where we spent fsve wonderful and never to be forgotten days W were chaperoned by Mr and Mrs Bradley Msss Hunt and Mr Wsllsams To Mr Bradley Mr Clements Mr Psllard Mr Fsnch Mrs Purchase Mrs Freytag Mr Gusle ana Msss Hunt our class advssors and all of the teachers of Junsor and Sensor Hsgh School and the Board of Educatson we owe a deep vote of apprecsatson for thesr gusdance and frsendshsp throughout our last years of school lt ss thesr concern and thoughtfulness that has done the most to asd us toward reachsng our goal Graduatson I I I . - . . : .
