Band Strives for Perfection This year's marching band worked very hard to provide half-time and pre- game entertainment at the football games. For example, on one nine-minute show the band spent approximately 19 hours of practice time. The band again this year participated in the District Marching Contest, which was held in Bartlesville and received a I, superior, in inspection and a II, excellent, for their contest rou- tine. They also attended the OU Band Day. The drum major was Don Sanders, a senior. The majorettes were Glenda Bran- aman, head majorette, and Teresa Meech, seniorsg Vicki Caffey, juniorg and jean Probis, sophomore. This year the band, directed by Mr. jerry Burdick, held a Field Music Con- cert in which the marching band per- formed, in concert formation, the music they played on the football field. Enter- tainment at this concert was also provided by the Warriorettes drill team, the cheer- leaders and the majorettes.
