A most active service organization at Webster is the High School Red Cross. Each Home Room is represented in the organization which strives to do something for others throughout the year. Maior entertainment proiects are programs presented at the Veterans' Hos- pital at Muskogee, at the County Farm, and at the Childrens' Medical Center. A highlight for members is the county workshop and conference held each Spring. This provides a full week-end of study and fun tor those members attending. HSRC provides an opportunity tor students to take part in commu- nity life, helping those in need.

El Roble 25 vs. O. y 50 N.-C. 175 El Bosque - San Sebastian San Jose, Costa Rica One of the biggest proiects of the year for the Student Council is sponsoring the American Field Service foreign exchange student. This year we were proud to have lulio Alberto Nlurillo-Segura from Costa Rica at Webster. Julio has been a true Websterite, showing real school spirit and enthusiasm. Everyone has enioyed knowing Julio. His smile has made him a friend to each of us. Julio studied much and also participated in soccer while in Tulsa. -fem, , i YLUIE- 27

Instructional Media Centers Expanding Rapidly at Webster Serving all classes and departments of the school is the Instruc- tional Nledia division conducted by Mrs. Retha Blythe, librarian, and Hudson Wilcox, Audio-Visual coordinator. ln the past three years the amount of Audio-Visual equipment in the building has more than doubled and the number of library vol- umes has been increased from seven thousand to eightyrtwo hundred. Nearly two hundred students use the library each day and more than six hundred motion pictures are used in connection with the instruc- tional program during the year. Schools, long accustomed to teaching from textbooks supplement- ed by teacher lectures, are awaking to the value at all types of in- structional materials, Webster is keeping pace in providing the most up-to-date materials and teaching devices possible so that students may learn more and more rapidly. Service to all could readily be the motto of our Instructional Media division. Students take the opportunity to browse through li- brary books before school and during the lunch hour.
