Nearly two hundred students use the library each day and more than six hundred motion pictures are used in connection with the instruc- tional program during the year. Schools, long accustomed to teaching from textbooks supplement- ed by teacher lectures, are awaking to the value at all types of in- structional materials, Webster is keeping pace in providing the most up-to-date materials and teaching devices possible so that students may learn more and more rapidly. Service to all could readily be the motto of our Instructional Media division. Students take the opportunity to browse through li- brary books before school and during the lunch hour. Y ' S . Seniors Anticipate Commencementp 0 MWMWQ ,.,, MX Realize Ultimate Goals in Life As eager students enter the halls of Webster, they begin to climb the steps of learning, preparing themselves to face the outside world. Throughout their high school years, Warriors strive to reach the goals they set as Sophomores. Thinking back they remember their first greeting as Panther fans and now are welcomed as Mighty Sen' iors. The class of '68 found much pride when, as Seniors, they crowned Miss Daniel Webster XXX and Warrior Chief XXIII. They elected their Senior Favorites and academically, chose Boys and Girls of the Months. The DAR Award, Journalism honors, seminars, and college scholarships were among honors presented to most-accomplished Seniors. Coveted awards presented include Billy Don Walker Award to the outstanding athlete, Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow Award, Community Bryan, and PTSA scholarships. Working hard to make a success of each activity during their last year, the class officers promoted enthusiasm within each Senior. Warriors have a feeling of confidence as, traditionally, they ascend the steps to receive their diplomas, recalling each experience which made their years at Webster memorable ones. They make the final climb - and turn to face the world. Trudy Adams Virginia Anthamatten Diana Arthur Dan Baker Freddy Ballard y , ' f. As the year came to a close, dreams returned for I968-69: membership in honor society and many activity organizations, participation in musical groups and varsity athletics, aiming for vocations and continuing education - all dreams which will materialize the next two years to perpetuate the great image of Webster and its alumni. The largest class to enter Webster in several years, Sophomores were quick to enter into the spirit of the school, elect officers, plan a variety of activities, and then settle down to a full year of academic work. New free- doms of movement were soon exploited, and the firm but friendly hand of a teacher or counselor soon guided yearling Warriors back into the path that leads to greatness.
