Duty and Leisure Activities at WVehster are planned to give the students an opportunity to enjoy as well as learn. Our curriculum permits you the part of both entertainer and entertained, maker or user, voter or electee. Here, you can attend a dance or learn a voca- tion, be an actor or applaud an act. Anyone with the ability and determination can become a part of the numerous programs which are available to the entire student body. The size and the nature of our school permit these things and we of Webster Senior High are honored to be a part of them. Senior boys at right make cookies. Sports A wholesome spirit of compe- tition and the development of health are important considera- tions in our athletic activities. Greatly varied are the selection of sports and the opportunity of each of us to enter into them. Some of the qualities We strive to impart are: determination, excellence, and sportsmanship. WVinning is secondary, as it should he, but the spirit is para- mount with our personnel. VVe feel a close relationship of unity in all the events undertaken at our school. We feel it is unique. The view at right is basketball at halftime. l21l

'-v il iv 4-as og V Leadership Numerous activities are of- fered at Webster. Of the many who are students some must take the responsibility for plan- ning and executing the details of our programs. The necessity of leadership is apparent and the satisfactions are available to all who are capable of sharing the responsibilities. Shown at the left are .lerry Smith and Mr. Oliver who represented our city of Tulsa in the Freedomls Foun- dation program of the year, an event of importance held at Valley Forge, Pennsylvania. Service Our needs are satisfied by many who often go unrecog- nized. School news, plays, and programs, reading material, sup- plies, and even our food are only made possible by the constant effort of groups and organiza- tions dedicated to our cause. We should pause to consider the many accomodations which are made available to us as students of VVebster. Shown at the left is a visitor of the Senior Officers class who is offering a selection of graduation announcements for their approval. Lzoj
