Varsity Soccer Varsity Soccer again had a triumphant season, losing only one game in regular league play and defeating St. John ' s for the City Championship. The team travelled to Brandon to play Neelin Collegiate for the Provincial title. Despite a rather rough night, the team managed to defeat Neelin in two straight games. The team would like to thank Mr. Fraser, Mr. Hocking and the Cheerleaders for their assistance. FRONT ROW: Romeo Berti, John Gottli, Juvenal Furtado, Stan Macario, Brad Stevens. Girl’s Cross Country The girls ' cross country team did quite well in competition this year. Having won a good proportion of their races, they advanced to the provincial finals. They were not, however successful in competition with the cream of the Manitoba girls ' cross country crop. The team would like to thank Mr. Shewin for his fine coaching. Gail Houlden, Linda Humeniuk, Pat Burdon, Nancy Sigfusson, Grace Houlden, Sally Bodnar, Laura Ozimek.

I Freshman Soccer Daniel this year was again provided with many fine soccer players from the various Junior High schools in the area. The Freshman Team lost two regular season games and was narrowly defeated by R.B. Russell for the City title. The team would like to thank Jim Duncan and Mr. Rohs for their coaching and assistance throughout the year. 57
