ie .J-EY' 471 A127 .iff FOREWORD ln this world of ever changing life foresight is a most desirable power It has made possible tremendous sci entific power making weak countries strong and strong countries stronger Take care for the future has been the warning cry to nations over the past decade Predestination is a for gotten word today as nations strive through physical and intellectual re sources to shape their destinies pos sibly into a humanly imperfect ver sion of Utopia or perhaps into world domination Yet our 'Ives will be molded large ly by our own actions and achieve ments Our immediate reactions to various situations and challenges which we meet at Daniel are molding our individual characters and shop ing our futures This school year has been for most of us the culminant year of our lives thus far scholasi ically and otherwise It is therefore the purpose ot this yearbook the l96O Summit to pre sent to the student body a review of the l959-l96O school year. A year- book without a theme is like a man without a purpose . . . neither can really succeed. This year the theme for our yearbook is As Our Year Unfolds. The Annual Staff sincerely hopes that this year s Summit will bring to you all happy memories in future years and to the Seniors the grad- uating class of l96O, may this an- nual be a reminder of your years at Daniel, a source for happy reminis- cing in the years to come.
