His selection as a winner of the National Merit Scholarship Award, based on his PSAT scores, honored Daniel Boone. Barry Lucas, a student of the Ganster Kara- te System, has numerous achievements un- der his belt . He earned his brown belt and eagerly anticipates reaching the black belt level. Through his competition in tourna- ments, Barry gathered over twenty-tive tro- phies and plans to add more to his collection. Senior class afHcers:- The lollowing students were selected to lead the Class of 1985: Brian Pusch-President, David Smith- Vice President, Lisa Rhoads- Secretary, and Bob Prince- Treasurer. Recently selected by the administrators ot Daniel Boone, Billfsctrbach, Debbie Ledig, and Seth kiegel participated in a project entitled Houses and Highways. They studied local roads, their legends, and roadstops. As a result, the Penn Quester History Team enjoyed a week at University ot PA to further their studies. Missy Happelmakes roller skating more than just a hobby! She skates regular- ly with the lunior Skateway Team. Compet- ing in the Junior Ladies' division ot the state cham- pionship, Melissa honored M her team by receiving 4 gold medals in relays.

Seniors Highlight Homecoming Festivities Cassandra Arnold and lohn Okuniewski Andrea Dadey and Chris Fontana Amy Lamb and Mark Wennersten Lisa Valletta and Barry Lucas The 1984 DB Leah Finkbiner and Brian Pusch This year's Daniel Boone Homecom- ing activities began on Friday, October 8, 1984. That evening a pep-rally and bonfire ignited the spirit of the stu- dents. The following morning athletes with hearty appetites enjoyed a pan- cake breakfast and Blazer fans watched the parade through Birdsboro. Sports enthusiasts viewed a Girl's Field hockey game, an alumni cross country meet, and the traditional homecoming football game. During half-time Leah Finkbiner was crowned 1984 Home- coming Queen. The Queen and her Court dined at the Yellow House Hotel following the game. That evening a Homecoming Dance, sponsored by the Varsity Club, completed the festivities. Plfitleiiff While snowflakes fell outside, friends settled in for a long winter's night in the wonderland at the King Frost Dance. The King and Queen of Frost, with their court, warmed the snowy scene with their smiles, easily taking the chill out of the air. The weather outside may have been frightful, but the Senior Class created a dance that was delightful. Hearts, flowers, and formal dress created a perfect atmosphere as cupid shot his magic arrows, At the Valentine's dance, couples celebrated their special feelings for each other in the company of good friends, The excitement mounted all evening.
