Language Students Blend Cultures What happens when French, German, and Spanish students get together? The result is an explosion of fun, food and learning! Each respective club explores new areas of culture individually, but plans exciting experiences to hold the framework together. The German Club celebrates Oktoberfest, French Club has a Christmas party, and Spanish Club raises funds for their upcoming trip. Each club dines at a European-style restaurant or at the clubs' major cooperative pro- ject, the International Dinner. The United Nations Club includes students who share an interest in foreign affairs. Club members learn more about the workings of the United Nations. Each year the United Nations Club attends many conferences which simulate formal conferences held by the United Nations in New York. The club competed at Governor Mifflin and Muhlenburg against schools from the area this year. Advisors Mrs. Bigelow and llllr. Remley considered the activities of the club to be an excellent learning experience. 30 United Nations Club Bill Eschbach heads a class discussion on an urgent issue
