Lady Tracksters Surprise County Blazerettes Gain Recognition With Wins in g-new wxalrk-1 ? 5' till . H. it ,ff-.5 i A This season, the GirI's Track team had high exc- pectations for a great season following last year's success. Many outstanding performances added to the 1984 season. The 1600 meter relay team placed 6th in District lllg the first time a track team from D.B. placed in districts. Kim Rowe finished 3rd in the county for the 800 meter and Lori Krall 1st in the 200 meter and 3rd in the 100 meter. Julie Groth and Leah Finkbiner earned county honors in the top 10 for triple jumping and long pumping, respectively. The 1985 team hopes to do as well, if not better, this year. Although the team spent many grueling hours practicing, they weren't without fun times, No one could forget running away from practice, going to the IGA for lood and practicing in the mud and rain! This combination of work and fun insured a successful and enjoyable season!
