National Honor Society Induction Dinner 4 The Inductees . On March ll, 1976, fifty-two inductees, their parents, members of the administration, Torn speaks about leadership. and the standing membership of the National Honor Society were entertained at a candle- light, sit-down dinner by the Board of Educa- tion. Following the meal, the service of induction was conducted by the officers, Robin Black, Tom Hughes, Patti Seifrit, and Iudy Heist. Mrs. Woodring, the advisor, and Mr. Knouff also took part. The inductees watch as Patti lights the candles.

Cheerleading Champions and Field Day The cheerleaders represented our school at the second annual cheerleading contest at Brandywine High School on March 13, 1976. The girls competed against eleven other schools from Berks County. They came away with first place and are recognized as the Berks County Cheerleading Champions. This also means that our school will host the contest next year. The contest was begun to bring cheerleaders together and it is a competition to share ideas and promote greater interest and improve the standards of a cheerleader. MISSING: Advisor--Miss Daggitt. The Daniel Boone High School Varsity Club sponsored a Field Day on May 21, 1976. Events included various sprints and relays, a softball throw and an obstacle course. Grades seven through ten competed and ribbons were awarded to first, second and third places. -SFQQ1
