The theme ofthe pageant was centered around Mickey Mouse and his Disneyland friends. For her talent Diane played the piano and recited a monologue on the history of music in the twentieth century. She was judged on youth fitness, evening gown lpoise and appearancej, talent, scholastic achievement, and the judges' interview. Diane did an excellent job. She not only won the poise and appearance award, but she also won the title of Berks County's Junior Miss. Please ball, go in.'f This yearls varsity team showed a lot of determination and potential. Although the team didn't win many games, they put on Quite a show for their few spectators at their home games. The highlight of the season was a record-breaking 77-42 victory over Kutztown. Only losing three seniors, Mary Beth Long, Teresa Pribish and Debbie Kramer, the team is looking forward to a better season next year. The J.V. team experienced a winning season. The wrestling season turned out to be a bit of a disappoint- ment this year. With nine return- ing lettermen possessing agility and strength, a winning season was expected. But a few injuries and some bad breaks added up to a 5-8 overall record. Our matmen demonstrated what they could do in the Annual Holiday Wrestling Tournament held on December 27, Eleven of the twelve men brought home trophies, four of them being first place. This gave the Blazer team second place. 101 I wish this guy would get off my back Gary tries for a switch. Although it was a dismal year record-wise, there were many bright spots, and the experience gained should make next year's team even greater. Paced by Capt. What Ever Happened I0 Mollzer Earih? was born in the febrile brain ofa super- annuated crone named Mrs. Fullwood, who is occasion- ally seen to totter helplessly about the halls of Daniel Boone. It was given life and substance by twenty-five junior-class men and women Cwith the help ofseveral se- niors. sophomores. and fac- ulty mem bersj who created out ofit a happening strongly dominated by man- ifestations of love tfor each other and for the worldy and oftheirjoy in living. A rather heartwarming footnote is the fact that cast members have felt that they came out ofthe experience with a feeling ofcloseness and understanding for all of the cast, regardless of previ- ous feelings ofhostility andfor indifference. The name ofthe game, you see, is brotherhood. Kill them -- dead or alive. 1 Mrs. Fullwood I know nothing, I hear nothing, I see nothing. Come on, UMP ! Despite the prediction that the Blaz- ers would have only an average season this year, we came through and almost upset Exeter for the division title. With a record of 7-2, we were tied with the Eagles for first place. In our final game, however, we were beaten by Twin Valley while Exeter had a final victory over Mt. Penn.
