To the class of 1972, Orion represents one constellation in the wide spectrum of stars toward which we gaze intently . . . to mirror past experiences or to dream about future accomplishments. 2 As we star gaze, we stop and think about the world around us. We remember the good times the sadness and the bad or the happiness discord and strife . . . 4 or peace and contentment . . 5 a sense of frustration . or a sense of fulfillment. Many of us believe those tiny stars control our destiny. 'iw Working And Hefping Together 'QQ 188 Y- f fr 'f an ysl We, the crew of the starship Orion ,72 are about to experience the final phase of our education: Graduation. The countdown, beginning in first grade, encountered many hazards along the way but we have survived them all. As the date for our blast-off approaches, we can honestly say we will not be thrust into the world totally unprepared. We have been shown new horizons by many fine teachers, and their guidance will enable us to maintain a steady course in life. In a sense, each one of us is an astrologer - drawing charts and looking through telescopes in hopes of finding new and undiscovered stars to which we can reach out. This yearbook is the result of those twelve years of searching and charting. No matter what course in life we choose, we all have one main goal in mind -to make this world a better one for our generation and for all to follow u Bell.
