There have been many pleasant things during the year of our fellowship together. As you in coming days read these pages that remind you of college life may your pleasant memories be many and your regrets few, but as only the very old live chiefly in the past we must look to the future. May your future be happy, useful and worthy, and may we and the college be mutually helpful. I am glad to announce that Daniel Baker College will stay in Brownwood permanently under what 1 consider more favorable con- ditions. At the begin- ning of the second semester, heavily in debt, the Collegian was left on the hands of good the financial deficiency. THE HILL Ell LIE - m— I r oSXDtaPO THE HILL I II I II Social Events of the Year SSsSgSSTLE HILL LILLIE §8 S8 §3 Sr We are tolc! the i ANNUAL SCRIBBLERS’ PICNIC April 3, 1930 Aside from their business of “Writing More Than Passably Will,” the Scribblers have had monthly entertainments. These varied social events came to a climax with the picnic at “Wild Violet Nook” on the Bayou about two miles from town. Around a jovial camp-fire the girls broiled bacon and enjoyed a typical out-of-doors lunch. Then they chatted FRESHMEN DAY—April 10. 1930 Not to be outdone the Freshmen declared April 10. a holiday and went on a picnic. Just what occurred, the uppers have failed to find out. But when one of them mentions the day. the Freshmen only smile and ANNUAL COLLEGE PICNIC—April 21. 1930 In spite of the past two or three years, the student body of decided to take their annual picnic. The group journeyed to the Mcl Ranch to a cool shady spot on the Bayou where they passed several pi CHANDLER SENIOR DINNER a most pleasing and attractive dinner.'
