Glaaa P r-'1 N fi BRUCE BURROUGHS with his wife MYRA HASPEL left Danbury in the summer of 1942 to explore the wilds of Brooklyn His secretary GERTRUDE SCHULLERY kept contact with him for about fifteen years but then he was heard from no more In 1962 twenty years after Burroughs had left Danbury the TERMEULEN Institute of Technology sent out an expedition to look for him ROBERT HOLT GREWE heading the search for the lost scientist had with him BRUCE PERKINS to take care of any necessary photography EDDIE RIDER to take care of radio communications and DELICE JOHNSON to take care of The searching expedition tramped up and down Brooklyn and after many weeks they finally found Burroughs and his wife in the right field bleachers 10 Ebbet s Field The first thing that Burroughs asked of his rescuers was that they tell him what had happened to all of his friends who had graduated with him from Danbury H1gh School In 1942 This is what Holtgrewe told him Things have changed a lot since you have been away The GIMIGLIANO RILEY KEELER BREDE Taxi Company collapsed after taking a serious financial loss because of giving too many free rides The BEILIN Taxi Company is still prospering LIL JAN KORSWOLD and KENNY JOYCE have gone out to Hollywood to try and get jobs at Walt Disneys studios You know probably that MERRITT SAITORD is running Disneys place now BLTTY TAPI AN and PAUL SWELT are In Hollywood too Miss Tappan works at Paramount and Sweet is still with the Nik o Lock Company Back In Danbury KARL FAUST and Mrs Faust QJEAN IRELANDJ are doing a whale of a yob teaching the kiddies how to cut 1 rug or two CHIC DENY AN and JOE FARRIS have just had a new building put up for their company As you know they are heads of Commercial Clubs Inc the largest society In America excepting the Boy Scouts Speaking of Scouts only a week ago LEO KELLY was made National Chief of The Boy Scouts of America Incidentally the building was designed by RUTH JOHNSON and ROSALIE BOB DUCH and G1 ORC L PARRACR haye split up their orchestra Parrack claimed that Duch was too interested in GOLDIF SIIBFRMAN the bands vocalist JIMMX GOULD a musician of I different sort lS now playing with the Danbury Philharmonic Orchestra in the SPH I lXlN Theatre in Boston Mayor MAHONIEH of Boston sent Jimmy a speciil imitation to ippear in his city Nfl 'lf HSS I J-.. 9 Y Y 3 7 , , A v 7 7 7 I 7 3 Q 9 J 7 Y 7 . 9 ' Y ' ' r 9 1 . .
