Most took more personal responsibility for their actions and accepted their consequences without complaint, stated Vice-principal Lucy Kelle-way, when asked how she felt about the school year. Principal Dennislflynn echoed this sentiment, saying, The students monitored themselves well without much outside pressure, As in the rest of the school, budget cuts affected even the administration, The loss of counselors because of insufficient funding placed increased burdens upon the remaining administrators, yet, according to Dr. Cistone, caused fewer problems than anticipated High school graduation and college admission information was sent to parents, while guidance technicians Janet Howard and Ariana Saindon were available to answer any questions students might have, Vice-principal Andy Fishers move to Esperanza High at the beginning of the school year Eeft a position filled by i Mr. Bill Smith.
