Fil' Friends Make School Fun Many students agreed that the 19821983 school year was better than last year Maybe it was because of more spirit friendlier people new faculty members or even more freedom in general As Kristin Leander summarized I like this year better because I have made many more differently aged friends than I did last year When you have good times with your friends, it makes the day go by much faster lr's also better because I am getting closer to graduation ,. g Q Sv. ffl 9 I S 5 K K: ' 1 2 . . , Students found weekends a means of escaping from school's reality. Weekend activities included games Cfor cheerleaders and other spirited studentsb, parties, movies, beach fun, working, dating, and molding, Some people survived better than others though, some had jobs to help them survive financially, some had outside hobbies that relieved the pressure of everyday living, others made the most of opportunities offerred at school. These Super Survivors are the students featured on the following pages, 1. Paul Solorio flashes an innocent smile while molding in the mall. 2. SENICDRS is , Closs of '83 Sets High Stondords The senior closs ot Dono Hills showed unbounded spirit this yeor. The closs officers CPresident Brod Kinney, Vice President Jennifer Curron, Secretory Stocy Snider, ond Treosurer Liz Koteclsib helped boost this enthusiosm by orgonizing vorious new senior octivities, some of which were Senior Boby Doy, ski trips, ond o tri-school donce with Son Clemente ond Copo Volley high school. Other troditionol senior events were the lip sync, picnic ond informotive closs meetings. All in oll, the turn-outs ond reoctions were positive. Mony seniors felt os though the Closs of 1983 wos o very close knit group with mony strong personolities. Activities Director Donny Burch commented, This yeor's Ieoders in student government, newspoper, yeorbools, ond vorious clubs hove oll been highly enthusiostic ond intelligent.
