Sails the Seas The South Coast Sailing Team, sponsored by the Nautical Heritage Museum of Dano Point, was both o team and a club, and provided the opportunity for students to enjoy the ocean, boats, and sailing. The eager club members met every Tuesday and Saturday at the Dana Point Harbor docks to learn and practice sailing and racing techniques, but mostly just to have a good time. Led by Advisor Bill Presttidge and club president Becky Farley, they raised money by having a bike-aethon ond a fiteworls stand. The money was used to buy necessary equipment and to keep the boots in excellent condition. They also participated in Yacht Club regattas where they displayed their skills, Outstanding racers included Skyler Tegland, Becky Farley, Marie Wehan and Aga Paegle. 1.
