Dana Hills Varsity Wrestlers had five league Champions, Rudy Arreola 106 lbs., Terry McCann 115 lbs. Joe Harris 123 lbs. Dave Sanderson 135 lbs. and Dan O'Donne1l 148 lbs. They qualified for the C.I.F. sectional tournament, In the Orange County Sectional Joe Harris took 4th and Rudy Arreola took 5th. The training the wrestlers had was very difficult. They worked two hours a day on important moves and con- ditioning for their matches. Towards the end of the season they would run before school in the mornings. The coach stressed the team to be tough on the take down and work for the fall. West Torrance proved to be the toughest com- petition. Coach Wigglesworth remembered, however that the most memorable game was against Patrick Henry which D.H. won 34 to 25.
