CAl'l.5fI1'1LT5 nza nr At the bazaar were lfrench records, books, jew- elry, white elephants, polaroid pictures, glassware, and worthwhile chances. Mothers, fathers, teach- ers, and students worked in the popular food de- partment. Mobiles and excess food auctioned at high prices. All this resulted in early Christmas presents, satisfied stomachs, and over 82,000 for the building fund. 9513075 Class Vcspers enabled us to have our own student speakers or to listen and talk with outside speak- ers. At School Yespers, Dr. Thurman. Dr. Bald- win, and Dr. Ferris spoke. Special Yesper occasions were the Harvest Assembly with our food for the XVellesley Friendly Aid and the Christmas Candle- light Service. CAl'l.5fl41Cl5 ai .ibcrna This year Dana discarded the medieval costume of former years and dressed in its gayest modern dress for Pine Manor's production of the York Nativity Cycle. As the Yule log blazed, the seniors gave Mrs. Johnston a gift for the building fund and all sang carols. Later, the seniors car- olled to each house and called, Merry Christ- mas! , to the underclassmen peering from the windows. Mrs. Johnston welcomed the cold mer- rymakers at Orchard House with hot cocoa and doughnuts. That night everyone dreamt of sugar plums and the impending Christmas vacation. 'Q'
