S H A M B A L L A H WELLESLEY - MASSACHUSETTS MY DEAR GIRLS: At this time of year I am always asking myself ifanother so large and promising a group of young people as our graduating class, can ever again be brought together at Dana. Wlell, we must face the fact that your work is satislactorily completed, and that you are now looking forward with eager interest to a new lile and work in the colleges of your choice. In this final hour I am moved to put up a plea for a divided interest on your part, that is, a continuing interest in and loyalty to Dana, while you are learning to know and love your new academic home. You see, we really do not want to lose any one of you and so beg for the letter, or the occasional visit, that will keep you in touch with what we are doing here lor those who will follow you, and will give us the pleasure ofknowing about your achievements in a stimulating and growth- itil environment. The new world toward which you are now moving will be much more your own world than the past one made by older people has ever been. We are trusting you to consecrate your abilities to the creation of this new and diHerent world in which we can all rejoice. We are still in the shadows ofa global sorrow, but shadows pass and the sun ofa new world-righteousness will rise to brighten and bless us all.
