REPORTS OF A VAGABOND Well, what a summer this has been! I have actually managed to see, or to hear about all of my classmates back at Dana Hall! It all began when Sibby Woolworth asked me to a house party down on her Texas ranch. It seems that she married a million- aire cowboy and is living next door to Molba Clark, the famous health specialist and athletic instructor. Molly and I planned to fly down together in one of her planes and to pick people up at various points en route. The first to get on was Gale Holman, who runs the most exclusive date bureau in New York and supplies the men for Cafe Society. She had just run into Ginny Garland, and Muriel Seidner, co-winners of the Sherman-Williams Opera contest. From them Gale found out that joan Davis just had another song on the Hit Parade, and also that Margery Brush and Alice Bentley run an exclusive school to turn out impeccable street-cleaners. The next per- son we picked up was Salbf Hackett, whose column 'LAdvice to the Pleasingly Plump is now in the Wellesley Townsmanf' Sally brought with her a letter from the Reverend Brownie Morrison, lady minister of the blue-grasslands. Brownieis letter read that Gatgw Raub is having a marvelous time as a missionary in Siberia, although her mission is only for women. Brownie also mentioned that Gin Biggeri is teaching kindergarten back at Dana. Dottie Alton and Nanqi Sheldrake then boarded the plane in highest spirits. They are both married, and Dottie had a set of red-haired triplets about a year ago. Isnlt that a coincidence? Shelly had recently spent the weekend with gorgeous Lynn Boylan, Powers, pet model. From Shelly also came the news that janet Ballou is still fllibustering in the Senate. Sue Farnham then got on. Not only is she 5 U. S. tennis champion but also the mother of two bouncing boys. Sue was all enthusi- asm about the fact that Mildie Weber is mayor of New York City, and is beloved by all as ULittle Flower The Secondf' I suddenly remembered that Barbara Brun- son is Under-Secretary of the Navyg and that Her Honor, Ning: Butler was to be deciding a case concerning shipbuilding in the Supreme Court. I had read that in jeanne de la Vergneb' editorial in '4The Daily Workerw which has amalgamated with P.M. It seems, too, that Sheryl Wakelee is understudying Jane Withers out in Holly- wood. After a hilarious plane trip, we arrived in glorious Texas, with the sun beating down upon our heads. We were very much relieved to arrive at the ranch, where Ginny Kingsbury came out to meet us. Ginny is, you know, the only woman mem- ber of the Whiffenpoofs and was visiting Sib. She said that Anne Cobgi and jeanne Godolpbin are plugging along, thanks to ,lf L I6 ' Tk -2.
