Spanish Club Preiiderzt Yirginia Kincaid Vjre-Premlezir Lucy Rice .Slerretmjy .june Feinburg Treumrer Audrey Stewart The Spanish Club has grown markedly in the past few years and is now one of the foremost clubs in school. This year it provided an opportunity for about thirty or more students to gather to speak Spanish and fa- miliarize themselves With the Latin American countries. Movies and guest speakers often con- tributed to the programs. Topics and skits were sometimes pre- sented by the girls, and always the meetings were conducted in Spanish. The Spanish banquet or Fiend in May was the climax to a grand year of education and enioyment with the Spanish Club. French Club President Mary Sharp Vice-Preriderzf Frances Penrose .ieeretafji Anne Henry Once a month, at four-forty on Tuesdays, we bent our steps to- ward the little Malmaison, where the French Club has held its meetings for thirty-eight years. Greeted with Bonjour, Made- moiselle, we sat down to tea and the afternoons entertainment. We shall remember well the plays, Jean-Marie, Par un ,Iour de Pluie, La Faim Est un Grand Inventecer, and especially the famous Chateau-yquemu given by the faculty. The film of Les Precieuses Ridiculesn transported us to the Comedie Francaise in Paris, and we were delighted with the pro- gramme of monologues by Mrs. Lee, Tony, and Mademoiselle Arosa.
