At the left, you see Mr, Fuller, a Senior sponsor, as he is concentrating on getting the students in the building on one of his days of bus duty, He is either pulling the girls hair, teasing the teachers, or else he just stands on the steps and talks to the boys about his 409 Volkswagon, The students enjoy the teachers being friendly toward them, because it gives the students a feeling that the teachers consider themselves the same as the students, members of Dan River High School, Here you see boys who look like an army of hobos, This is the greenhand initiation in which all boys must participate to become a member of the Future Farmers of America, This is one of the many features of the Agricul- ture Department, At the right, four girls are busy at work in the kitchen of the Home Economics Department. Each girl is putting the homemaking knowledge she has gained in Home Economics class to practical use. The home- making department teaches girls the basic fundamen- tals of housekeeping and homemaking. 24
