History is very important and interesting to many students because here we learn the fascinating story of man’s development from his earliest appearance on earth to his life in the twentieth-century. Here the emphasis is on people and the roles they have played onthe world's stage, and how these people have acted and interacted tocreate what is known to us as history. Learning that peace can be maintained only through a sympathetic understanding and appreciation of the various cultures of the world's peoples, we can go out and make our world a better one in which to live. In government we learn how to make wise decisions and how to understand our government. Here we are taught torecognize our government's true purpose and touse it to carry out our plans in later life. By learn- ing to understand this servant of ours, we can use it to its best advantages to make it obey our wishes. SA Variety Our bus drivers include (left to right) BOTTOM ROW: Wayne Gee; Thomas Dawson; SECOND ROW: Lynn Adkins; Sanford Wiles; Paige Ricketts; THIRD ROW: Mr. E. N. Bigger; Dede Lewis; Ray McCain; TOP ROW: David Gillespie; Garrett Hughes; Tommy Bryant. The main purpose of the Safety Patrol is the maintenance of good school conduct at all times. Here Trooper Parker is shown explaining good safety measures for the members to use when there is a necessity for precautionary measures.
