The Beta Club of Dan River,under the guidance of Frank W. Motley, is a non-secret organization based upon character, attitude, and scholastic record. It has as it’s project for this year the placement of an electric bell in the Home Economics building. panish Chib The Spanish Club of Dan River is under the supervision of Frank W. Motley. This club’s object is not only to study the lan- guage, but also to become acquainted with the laws and customs of the inhabitants of Spain and other countries that speak the Spanish tongue.

The Student Council members, advised by Miss Bonnie Jean Alderson, represent the leadership and guiding light of our school. Through this organization our school strives to climb the ladder of an enriched student life, 28

CL The DanRiver Club is under the direction of Miss Nina Flora. The club has made a nice showing in several chapel programs; and gave its first public appearance, December 10th, in the County Christ- mas Festival of Music, which was held in Chat- ham. The Library Club, under the supervision of Miss Bonnie Jean Al- derson, is an organization to arouse literary interest and appreciation of the work carried on in the school library.
