THE SOPHOMORE-SENIOR DANCE The crowning achievement of the Sophomore class took place on December 10 in the form of a semi-formal dance given for the Seniors. The theme of this dance was Winter Wonderland, with several scenes signifying the words ofthe song. The tables were located around the dance floor and each table was decorated with a sprig of pine and Christmas tree ornaments. Music was 'Furnished by Bob Munnell's orchestra. The highlight of the evening was the crowning of the King and Queen, and the presentation of the Royal Court. The Court was made up of: Buck Bryan and Alyce Terry, Lug Tomlinson and Nancy Negus, Eugene Bailey and Paulette Matthews, David Houghton and Margaret Leverette, Marvin McKinley and Pat Kendall, and Duane Evans and Wanda Priest. These students were voted on 'by the Sophomore Class and the King and Queen were not an- nounced until the night of the dance. ' The King was Eugene Bailey, and the Queen was Paulette Matthews. Paulette and Eugene were crowned by Sophomore Class President, Dave Fee. After the coro- nation, the King and Queen led the Grand March.
