The DALY has cruised a long way from the time of her commissioning at Staten Island on 10 March 1943, to her decommission at Charleston, S. C. That period has been spent in serving the nation and the Navy, and in piling up a record of which you may all feel justly proud. Some of you made the whole cruise, the rest of usonly a part of it.
