Our class embarked on the journey of school life in 1949 in the first grade, Jim I-lenke, Carol Hutzen- biler, Doug Klinge, Chuck Kragel, Mary Jo Marrin, Janice Nelck, Butch Westerhoff, Jim White, and Linda Ziegler are the charter members. In 1953 Judy Mead came from Gurley. In 1955 Jerry Flora moved up to join us, and Nancy Holden came to join us in 1957, our Freshman year, from Keenesburg, Colorado, In 1958 we added Shirley Brown from Imperial and Bruce Kreager from Sidney. The addition of J im Applegate from Worthington, Ohio, in 1959 completed our class. This class has been one of the most outstanding in the history of Dalton High! Not only have we at- tained the highest scholastic average in the school, but our members have also excelled in sports, music, and dramatics! As the last act of this, our Senior year, we, the Seniors of Dalton High School, Class of 1961, do hereby institute this, our Last Will and Testament I, Jim Applegate, will my unquestioning obedience to Dorwin Reimers, my height to Mr, Krause, and my shyness to Gordon Carley, I, Shirley Brown, will my long hair to Joyce Pelster and my ability to keep out of mischief to Sharon Cape. I, Jerry Flora, will my common sense and ability to keep quiet to Vernon Burdick and my ability to get along with teachers to Wayne McRoberts. I, Jim Henke, will my calmness before a game to Gary Miller and my constant good behavior and shyness to Donnie Flohr. I, Nancy I-lolden, will my height to Nancy Lessman, my marching ability to Rodney Gillespie, and the F,H,A, to Mary Sue Townley. I, Carol Hutzenbiler, will my dancing ability to Richard, my pickup to Diana Aurich, and my flirting ability to Joey Van Anne, I, Chuck Kragel, will my short hair to Larry Shelley and my poor conduct grades to Larry Lessman, provided he doesn't try to improve them. I, Bruce Kreager, will my ability to ruin radio equipment to Jim Yount and my ability to stay awake in study hall to Jack White, , I, Mary Jo Marrin, will my straight hair to Vernon Burdick and the Pep Club and the annual staff to anyone who can get them to work. I, Janice Nelck, will my short hair to Adalia Reimers and my athletic ability to Mary Sue Townley, I also will my trumpet to anyone who can play it. I, Judy Mead, will my quiet disposition to Tom Eckert and my ability to get caught chewing gum to Dick Rabe. I, Butch Westerhoff, will my little nose to Jimmy Van Anne and my yellow and black coon-car to anybody who can keep it together with bubble gum and baling wire. I, Jim White, will my shoes to Ron and Leslie Flohr, and hope that together they can fill them. I will my extra weight to Scarlet Sparks, I, Linda Ziegler, will my giggle to Joan Ewing and my ability to have a good time to Ivan Kruger, I, Doug Klinge, will the Midnite Special to anyone who can keep it out later thanl can and my eating ability to Jim Van Anne. We, the Seniors, will our academic abilities to the freshmen, our extra-curricular abilities to the sophomores, and the freshmen and sophomores to the juniors. We do hereby appoint Mr. Lee Peterson as the administrator of our last will and testament,
