attest ti 1. fp: Our school year has been both enjoyable and profitable. We have learned a number of new and interesting things. ln Social Studies we traced Ne- braska's development up until it became a state. Our arith- metic consisted of progress in addition and subtraction as well as learning to divide and multiply. We learned about sentences, paragraphs, and letter writing in Language. Two other subjects we studied were Science and Health. We had a semester of each. The fourth grade is a very impor- tant step in our education. We began to appreciate fine literature and began to do more personal reading. Developing the basic skills and the study of fractions was the major part of the arithmetic course. We began to become more interested in the world around usg so we satisfied our curiosity by studying science. 17
