The Widow Peppin, Carol Winkelman, and deaf old Pappy Stelsby, Ronnie Ray Warren were engaged in a mountain feud. To make matters worse, Pappy's son, Luke-Leon Gillespie and Ma's daughter, Emmy-Judy Pel- ster, were in love. Meanwhile the mountain was all agog over the homecoming of the Triffet Girls, portrayed by Marge Buck and Ellen Holden. Their manager Sol Selverstien- Stuart Bancroft, came in quest of more hillbilly singers . The parson, Vernon Jobman, was on hand to join Luke and Emmy, Ma and Pa, Bridget O'F1anngan- Lorraine Mead, and Loues Cattora-jerry Lindsey, Wash Jeddo-Lloyd Kettler, and the Triffet Girls in marriage.
