CLASS PROPHECY Lila is now a secretary As busy as can be; But what she likes best of all Is sitting on her boss ' s knee. Ida Jo is a beautician; She cuts, sets, and waves your hair. When next you want a beautiful look. Just visit her shop on the square. Carolyn is in art school An artist soon to be. If ever you want a picture. It ' s Miss Britton you should see. Janet is a teacher ' s wife, The salary is very low. So, if you know of a better job. Please let Janet and her husband know. Carol Danner is in the W. A. P. ' s Marching right in step. She does her duty for our land With lots of vigor and pep. Clarabel is a nurse at Apple Creek, She plans to work there for a while; The patients all think she ' s great Because she greets them with a smile. Mae is now in Nursing School As everyone can tell. Soon the patients will learn to love her Because she ' ll help to make them well. Fred is now a farmer Raising first prize cattle. The virus pests are a nuisance But he ' s slowly winning the battle. Dick is a head waiter. Serving people from coast to coast; He gives you service with a smile, You should hear the people boast. Anna Jean is now a secretary Working hard each day. But it seems like weeks and weeks Until she gets her pay. Homer is a Senator Who believes all men are free. He has a good reputation; A President he soon hopes to be. Rich became a pilot Plying high and low; For travel, ease, and comfort. Just call 8-2610. Marcia is teaching Physical Ed. At our own little Dalton High. She gives them lots of exercise And you never hear them sigh. Trudy is a housewife Caring for her family and home. She keeps the house all clean and tidy And thus her husband ne ' er shall roam. The Kick Twins have a dairy, All clean and nice and white; If it ' s milk or cream you want. Just see them - day or night. Carolyn is now a teacher, College is of the past; She teaches her pupils the Golden Rule And they learn it very fast. - 20 - Frank owns a five and ten Right in our own home town. He ' s always busy as can be, But work will never get him down. Glenn now owns his own farms And is looking for a wife. He ' s looking forward eagerly To a happy married life. Bonnie is a stewardess She travels through the sky. She makes her customers feel at ease; One reason why they fly. Ellis is selling cars, Model A ' s are his biggest buy; And for every car that you purchase. He ' ll give you a free necktie. Kenny now has a garage With service the whole year round; For efficiency in car repair. He ' s known all over town. Maurine is now a lady cop Who walks a nightly beat; She has taken Ir. Speck ' s place At South Main Street. Jim is the Ag. teacher In place of Mr. Scott. Although the boys are troublesome. He likes his job a lot. Don is now a basketball star Of Ohio State University. A hero in many a game he has been And helped bring home a victory. Marilyn owns a rocket ship It ' s based on planet Mars. She has her own little business Selling Milky Way Candy Bars. Shirley is a telephone operator; She is busy all day long Placing calls from here to there With a very merry song. Bill has built an auto racer. His speed no one can beat; Just to see him race. It really is a treat. Larry is now a game warden Protecting our wild life; If you abide by the laws. You won ' t be in jail for life. Darlene became a secretary For the Harlem Globe Trotters. She wants to learn how they play So she can teach her little totters. A lawyer is what Don wants to be Working at a very fast pace; If it is trouble you are in, Ifeve Donald take your case. Ruth is now a housewife After a long, long wait; With a home of love and happiness There ' s never a word of hate. Jim is now an engineer The greatest in the land. He constructs buildings, bridges, and roads Let ' s see how long they stand, (cont ' d p. 18)
