We had a nice time, swimming, boating, and of course eating our picnic lunch. Our class officers are. Ramon Parrish ---------------Dorothy Neisz --------------Red and White Rose Our Reach Exceeds Our Grasp FRESHMEN ACTIVITIES On September 20, the Freshmen gave a party at Dalton High School. Each member of our class invited one person. Everyone had a nice time and lots of fun although it didn’t last very long. We enjoyed the entertainment and refreshments. Accompanying us was our spohsoi Jewel Wyatt Logan. 29

SENIOR ACTIVITIES The Seniors planned for their first activity an ice cream supper, which was September 10, 1948. It was a big success and everyone enjoyed themselves. Next we began working on our play “Aunt Susie Shoots The Works,” a mystery comedy presented in three acts. The characters were as follows: Aunt Susie Stowe Scarlet Deane Laura Dawson Madame Zola Portia Lark Omar Graves LaSalle Johnson Slick Conway- - -- -- -- -- - Aunt Susie, an old maid, who hated all men intensely was played by Annie Mae Ramsey. The proper romantic ending was supplied when Roy Thompson, a dignified bachelor, who be- fore he met her was convinced that the woman’s place was in somebody else's home, per- suaded her men were not so bad after all. JUNIOR ACTIVITIES An enjoyable party was held in the Dalton Gym on January 20th, in honor of the Junior Class and their chaperone, Jewell Logan. C. B. Utley, Jr. was initiated for president of 1948- 49. There were three Juniors absent, Katherine Weir, Buddie Hale, and Randle Riley. Several games were played and later in the evening refreshments were served.
