But the present is so very important to us now that we, the Staff, have attempted to stop the clockn on some of these '4Moments to be remembered. Our efforts in capturing these moments may be judged successful if, when the present becomes the past, the turning of these pages will fill you with warm remembrances and inspire you in the future to some worthy accom- plishment. We affectionatefy dedicate this '56 edition of the Catamount to Nir. Lofton Ward, whose camera has recorded aii the outstanding events of our high schooi iife. This job he has skiiifuiiy and conscientiousiy done, hut it is his performance beyond the caii of dutyw that has endeared him to us immeas- urabiy. His humorous wink, his quick wit, his ready smile, his iimitiess patience, his energy and resourcefuiness, and ahove aii, his genuine iove for young peopie make him easiiy the one most deserving of this honor.
