Homecoming 1983 Homecoming '82 reached its climax on Saturday evening, October 16, as Teresa Gable was crowned Homecoming Queen. The theme for the dance was Stairway to Heaven, and the hard rock band Centaur provided the music for the some 440 people in attendance. Teresa commented, This was one of the best Homecomings I have ever seen. There was so much enthusiasm at the dance itself and in the weeks of preparation for Homecoming. I hope it was a most memorable experience for every- one who attended. The juniors and seniors won the annual float competition and received $100 which was divided between the classes. The Homecoming festivities began on Thursday night with the parade and bonfire- pep rally led by the cheerleaders and football players. The football game was played on Friday evening beginning with the presentation of the Homecoming Court. The Wildcats reluctantly gave the victory to the York High Bearcats with a score of 19-35.
