McDonald Madness 5

Page 8 text:

f % Over the past four years, many of us have spent hours socializing at McDonald’s. After football games, parties, and school activities, McDonald's is filled with Dallastown students. The Spectator Staff has chosen to symbolize the good times we’ve had by a McDonald's yearbook. We, the seniors, have many fond memories of how we’ve grown up in the past four years. Remem- ber in ninth and tenth grades how we would look for someone to take us to McDonald’s after the games? We couldn't wait to drive. When we finally could drive in eleventh and twelfth grades, we always took turns driving because it was too much trouble to pick up everyone. Besides, we never had any gas in our cars anyway. The Spectator Staff did not choose the McDon- ald’s theme to be childish. Many of the things that we will always remember have happened at McDon- ald’s. For example, there was a scheduled fight ev- ery week. There were to be head vs. jock fights as well as Dallastown vs. Suburban fights. Some of us became members of the 51 club. We always bought one soda every hour, just so we could sit inside and not get kicked out. You could always go to McDon- ald’s and see someone you knew. On Friday nights, the place was filled to capacity, and that's what made it fun. This yearbook is designed to bring back fond memories when it is opened ten years from now. What one place best represents where the Class of '82 saw each other, shared the same laughs and the same troubles? McDonald’s. The Spectator Staff
