This year’s managers are Cindy Phillips, Mark Myers, and Ann Fetner. Sue Keeny - secretary, Robin Leber • attendance officer row 3: Chris Grim - president and Dan Freed - vice- president. Student Council Advisors: Mrs. Sabey and Mr. Filizzi The Student Council organization, as the student govern- ing body of Dallastown High School, fosters leadership in its elected members. As leaders of the student body, the Council promotes a variety of activities throughout the school year. In September a Welcome Back Dance was held with the ninth grade class as guests. The popular Homecoming Dance attained a record attendance of over 500 with Miss Nikki Wood crowned as the Queen. The Halloween Pumpkin Week Contest and the annual Talent Show highlighted Fall activi- ties. Winter activities included a Candy Cane Week, Christ- mas Dance, and a Bluegrass Dance. Spring activities that Student Council sponsored were the Kiss-A-Pig Contest, Carnation Day, and the annual Cinderella Dance. The council members as well as other members of the student body spent countless hours in preparation for host- ing the November, 1981 State-wide Conference of Pennsyl- vania Student Councils, to be held at Dallastown High School. A mascot, Willie the Walrus, was selected and used in promotion of the Conference. Student Council works on behalf of and in cooperation of the entire student body to achieve benefits for all students.
