MR. CLAIR A. TROUT PRINCIPAL Most of you, at some time I am sure, arose before the sun and saw darkness turn to daylight. No matter how often I see this it still fascinates and challenges me. Here is a new be- ginning, a new day when the black is replaced by white. This pretty clearly represents life. We trust that in the years you spent with us you might have received some light to dis- pel darkness,- some knowledge to change ignorance,- some courage to overcome cowardice,- and, some hope to drive out despair. We trust that as you leave us you will continue to grow in the light and goodness of day so that as you ap- proach the sunset it too may be as lovely and as challenging as the light of a new day. MR. CLAY E. GIVLER ASSIQTANT PRINCIPAL Congratulations to each senior who has received a diploma signifying that he has satisfactorily fulfilled the graduation requirements of this school! Your years spent here can be likened to the laying of a foundation for a building. Just as a building cannot exist v ithout an adequate base, so I feel a high school education is the foundation for a successful endeavor in your adult lives. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity but continue to build and shape your life so that eventually you will find peace in knowing that you have given your very best to mankind. 7 Mr. McSherry Administrative Assistant Mr. Glatfelter Business Manager
