The class of 1957 feels that it is an extreme privilege to he able to dedicate this volume of the Spectator to Mr. Robert H. Hays. In this way we hope to thank him for the constant efforts he has made for the students. We know that he is first, last, and always in- terested in the student’s welfare. By his teach- ing, tempered with good humor and under- standing, by his willingness to help whenever needed, he has always been not only a teacher, but an adviser and friend. May this dedication express the appreciation and respect he deserves. Robert H. Hays, B.S., M.Ed. Top: Mr. Hays helps Janet Bowman de- cipher a difficult section of transcription. Lower left: The art of using the mimeo- graph machine is demonstrated by Mr. Hays. Lower right: Fixing broken or stubborn typewriters is another service Mr. Hays does willingly. 2
