Charles Tyson, Charles Leber, William Kehrn. William A. Kehrn, Jr., B.S. Dallastown opened the season by defeating Newport 6-0 in a game played on Newport’s rain-drenched field. Barry Keckler scored, while Barry Cohn did most of the ground gaining. The Wild- cats won the first Laurel Conference game by defeating Kennard- Dale 12-6. Keckler and Cohn posted Dallastown’s six-pointers. Lamont Flinchbaugh caught a Keckler pass for one touchdown and Cohn added the second, but this was not enough to out- score Red Lion 20-13. Dallastown suffered a bitter defeat at Littlestown 32-13. The Wildcats lost stellar quarterback, Barry Keckler, who fractured bis right knee. Under the lights at Small’s Athletic Field, the Wildcats defeated Susquehannock 13-0. Norman Seitz starred for Dallastown. The “homeless” Wildcats were defeated 27-7 by Biglerville. On a rain-swept field. West York pushed over two touchdowns in the third period to nip the Wildcats 14-7. Central Dauphin outclassed Dallastown to win a 60-6 non-conference test. Susquehannock found re- venge as they defeated Dallastown 18-13, in the final game of the season. Dallastown’s Wildcats ended the season with a record of 3 wins and 6 losses. However, in the Laurel League they won two and lost 3, finishing in 4th place.
